The movie is really about a ballerina with no sense of self. No integration of positive, negative and neutral. Only wants to be "perfect." No creativity in perfectionism. Manipulative movie, but slick

The movie was showcasing the talents of actresses Natalie Portman and Barbara Hershey. The story did not hold/offer a great deal for Vincent Cassel's character —that was too bad as the movie was just too minimalist in regards to developing his charater. However, I still enjoyed the movie.
